Banbridge Dance Festival 2009

 A selection of pupils aged 5-17 years old from Dundalk and Rathfriland scooped a whopping 27 medals at this years dance festival. They were awarded medals ranging from 1st-3rd place and also received countless certificates of honours, highly commended and commended standard. The medals and certificates were awarded in areas such as: Ballet solos, Modern solos, Lyrical solos, Character solos and also Song and Dance solos.

The school also won 1st place for the second year running in the group lyrical under 12 years and also won third place in this section. The school was also awarded 1st and 3rd place for their group modern 12-18 years. In the group Song and Dance section the children achieved 2nd place.

Cheryl was very proud of all the students who took part in the festival and she believes that the achievement is not in winning medals, it is having the confidence to get up and perform on stage. After all confidence is a vital tool we want all our children to acquire.
